Members Assistance Team

Members Assistance Team logoThe Vermont State Police Members Assistance Team provides direct support, resources, appropriate referrals and training for VSP employees who have been exposed to trauma or need assistance with health or personal problems.  This assistance is available regardless if the problem is work related or a personal matter.  Services are also available to VSP family members.
 
Troopers standing togetherThe team works in conjunction with the Department Clinician Program.  The current model of the team evolved from the "Peer Support" model, with roots back to the late 1980s.  All team members are volunteers, and the team includes both sworn and civilian employees.  The team is also available to faciliatate group Critical Incident Debriefings.
