Are you a victim of a robbery? Do you know what to do and what to look for? The Vermont State Police want to help local businesses that may fall victim to a robbery by providing tips about how to be a good witness.
To increase the chances of the arrest and successful prosecution of the armed robbery suspect, the Vermont State Police have come up with a form to guide employees through what to look for in the event they are working at the time of a robbery. This is not an official “police report” but rather an aid that identifies what to do, what to look for, and what to listen for in the event of a robbery. These tips show people how to be a good witness, which will help law enforcement and hopefully lead to the suspect’s arrest.
In the event your witness a robbery, complete this Robbery Witness Form for responding troopers.
The Vermont State Police continues to investigate a number of armed robberies across the state. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact their local Vermont State Police Barracks. Or submit an anonymous tip by texting “CRIMES” (274637) with keyword: VTIPS or submit a tip online.
