The Peacocks were discovered deceased in their residence on 09/17/89, both victims of homicide. The residence was secure, and no sign of forced entry was discovered.
A significant amount of evidence was recovered from the scene, and VSP detectives, cold-case specialists and forensic analysts continued to work the investigation over the years. On Thursday, Oct. 13, 2022, VSP detectives with the Major Crime Unit, assisted by the New York State Police, arrested a suspect in the case: 79-year-old Michael Anthony Louise, the Peacocks' former son-in-law.
