Elwyn White was reported missing in August of 2001 by his roommate, after some time had passed and no one had heard from him. He was found in a shallow grave by a turkey hunter in May 2002 off of the Berlin Pond Road in the town of Northfield.
Mr. White was known by police for criminal activity in the Barre City area. His death has been ruled a homicide which remains unsolved.
