Bureau of Criminal Investigation Districts

BCI DistrictsThe Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI) is comprised of detectives primarily responsible for the investigation of criminal offenses to include all death investigations, sexual assaults, child sex crimes, robberies, embezzlements, fire investigations, and other serious crimes. BCI also is responsible for investigating missing person cases

Two detective lieutenants are assigned to each Troop, dividing their areas of responsibility into east and west regions. Their role is to ensure that each criminal investigation is thorough and complete.

LT John MacCallumTroop A West consists of the Williston, St. Albans, and Middlesex offices. The detectives in those offices are commanded by Lieutenant John MacCallum.

Lieutenant Jason LetourneauTroop A East consists of the St. Johnsbury and Derby offices. The detectives in those offices are commanded by Lieutenant Jason Letourneau.

Lieutenant BarberTroop B West consists of the Rutland, New Haven, and Shaftsbury offices. The detectives in those offices are commanded by Lieutenant Christopher Barber.
